Jerry Yeah, I already have the QM for Mac download and have been trying to use it. I suggest that you go ahead and try Wayne's suggestion, but if what you get doesn't work as you expect or need, you will prabably have to give up on using Numbers in this way.

From what I can tell, the Excel document is full of macros, which won't work in Numbers even if you manage to open the documents in Numbers. I would still like to find the equivalent of QM for Numbers, but I'm not quite as frustrated, now. I had to download StatPlus:macle, which isn't really a plug-in. I also had to download a plug-in that was no longer available through the Excel updates. I had to find the plug-ins and turn on the solver plug-in. For regression and a few other options in QM, the solver button was not available.
